Going to the Game

At Dodger Stadium

There are many things I hope to share with my daughter as she grows up.  One of those things is sports and that means NY sports teams.  When the NY teams are in town, we go to the game.  Earlier this year we went to see the Rangers play the Ducks (really how could I ever raise a child to cheer for a duck?).  Siena loves to break out her jersey and to sport the team colors and she has also learned how to cheer for her team.

Well for the summer, the Mets rolled through LA and off we went to Dodgers stadium.  We didn't know we could bring Bella (it was bring your dog to the game night), but we did go and had a great time.

Siena was vocal and cheered for her team and sometimes for the Dodgers.  She sang Take Me Out to the Ball Game during the seventh inning stretch.  She wanted to catch a fly ball and was disappointed she didn't get a baseball (despite the fact that a line drive almost took Lisa's head off).  She is now a baseball fan too!

Looks like I will need to get Siena a Mets jersey for next season.  If there is anything that will teach you patience and to be humble, it is being a Mets fan.
