Yesterday was Siena's first day of school. Yes she will have a first day of school every year, but this was really her "first day". We are now the proud parents of a Kindergarten student. While I think she was a little nervous coming into the experience, she was cool as a cucumber for opening day.

She stepped right into a new role in a new place with a lot of children around her. You could definitely see her mind was searching for ways to take it all in. She had a serious game face on. So, we did the same thing and no tears were shed.
The Pledge of Allegiance

Though she was a tough little bear, I am pretty sure mom and I were struggling to hold back our emotions as she stepped up and did the pledge of allegiance with her new school mates. Here is the video of her first ever school activity. She will do this about 2600 more times in the coming years, but for one day it was a first.

We are very proud of our little girl who reported that she made new friends and liked school, at least for one day. More memories to come.
