Don, Jacquie and Ashley Pillsbury visited from back East. They were able to sneak in a quick visit to Disneyland where we met up and enjoyed the parks. Siena had fun playing with Ashley who took her to see the Pixies and entertained her endlessly.
Grandma Gail and Grandpa Dan came to town for a work convention and stayed for a few days for a visit. As always Siena loved having more people to play with and Grandma spoiled her. She walked around holding a picture of Grandma and Grandpa for days after their visit.
We had two great events with the Strengers. First the New York and Chicago rivalry came to life as the Giants played the Bears. Penny and Craig hosted not just a football party, but a cook off between the two cities. Food was flown in from the Carnegie Deli and Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria. The good guys won the game, but the Chicago pizza was hard to beat. Next we had a great brunch at Hanna’s for Craig’s birthday. Garrett and Siena had fun and it was a great second get together of the New York and Chicago gangs.
Is it really snowing in Tahoe already? Well its 90 degrees in Orange County, so it only make sense to come south. We had a chance to grab lunch and catch-up with Lisa’s good friend Heather Brown recently. She was in town for a visit from her new home in Tahoe and we met up for lunch. She and her boyfriend Matt are doing great up north (we really need to go visit them) and it was fun to see her.
Add on a few Sunday night dinners with the Heatons and a visit with the Carfiolis on Halloween and you have a lot of great time with friends. We are lucky to have so many good friends and Siena loves to visit with all of them!
