After a day at Disney for Siena, we decided to use our snowy
day to see mommy’s favorite Paris
attraction, the Paris Opera house, the Opera Garnier. Paris was now officially under siege from
the snow and was glistening in beautiful new light. When we arrived at the Opera House, we
learned it was mostly closed. No, not due to the weather this time, but because
of rehearsals. So, we decided to come
back on another day when we could enjoy the visit.
We wandered the area for a bit and had lunch at the Bio where
they heated up little glass jars of gourmet food for your lunch. When we arrived in Paris, Lisa had read about
a store where real ballerinas shop for real ballet shoes and outfits, Repetto. Since our little ballerina was with us we
decided we should check it out. The shop
closest to the Opera house was closed for renovations, but daddy was now on a
mission and headed across town to find another shop.

| Hotel De Ville |
Our search took us across town to the Hotel de Ville, the
beautiful city hall building since 1357.
Yes, there is quite a bit of history everywhere you look. After a quick stop in the Lafayette store to
warm up we walked through near blizzard snow fall in the Marias district to
find the Repetto store. Once
inside, we got to see our little ballerina do her thing. Once she had on an outfit that fit, she danced
throughout the store. Suddenly she
wanted to be a ballerina and has kept that excitement since we returned home. We
also learned that Repetto makes amazingly comfortable shoes and here Lisa kept
her Paris tradition of buying a new pair of boots alive.

With
new ballet slippers, bag and outfit secured, we journeyed back out into the
snow. A quick stop by the Italian
butcher shop for the night’s dinner and a short train ride home. Back at our “home” we watched the Eiffel
Tower evaporate into the clouds as the snow took over the Paris night.
