My girls arrived in Germany with a few days left to go in the Automechanika show. Once they arrived, things got better. I was so excited to see them, so I went to the airport to meet them. As they came out from baggage claim I bent down to say hi to Siena and she completely blew me off. Wouldn’t look at me, didn’t acknowledge me and was not happy to see me. I was gone for 6 days and she definitely decided she was disappointed with me. You can see her in this picture looking away from me (she is probably thinking look daddy a sex shop in the airport, isn’t Frankfurt interesting. Yes there really is one just outside baggage claim.).
Luckily Lisa was glad to see me. Siena held a grudge for about 24 hours and when I returned home from the show on Day 5 she gave me a hug and we got back to being a daddy and his daughter.
As for the show, Day’s 4 and 5 were much like days 2 and 3. About the same traffic and about the same number of new leads each day. We met with existing customers from Belgium, Luxembourg and Venezuela. The hot spots for new business were:
• Germany – seems these folks came to the show in their own backyard a little later in the week.
• Greece – Everyone in Greece wants to be our exclusive distributor, none of them will be.
• India – Lots of interest, but really only in low end and low cost products.
