Today I am heading out Frankfurt, Germany for the Automechanika Trade Show. Automechanika is one of the world’s largest automotive trade shows and runs for 6 full days. It is easily the longest trade show I will have ever attended or worked. It draws well over 150,000 visitors from all over the world and fills multiple convention center halls.
California Scents will be there (our second appearance at this show in our 17 year company history) and we will be looking to build our global presence. Now in over 85 countries around the world, we are looking to build upon our momentum and expand distribution within the countries we are already in. It is a long way to go and a big time commitment for our team, so we will need to be on top of our game to make this a successful venture.
So the journey begins, 17 hours of travel. When I arrive it will be tomorrow. Stay tuned here for some sights and sounds from the show. This could be fun and no doubt will be a great learning experience for our company on the global opportunities for our products.
After the show, Lisa and Siena will be joining me (I miss them already) and we will be visiting Munich (it’s Oktoberfest!) and Salzburg, Austria (where the hills are alive with the Sound of Music). So there are more great things to come as we embark on Siena’s first “big” vacation.
