This year for the July 4th holiday we headed to Los Angeles to see the Mets play the Dodgers. We were joined by Dori and George Steele and had a great time. The Mets rallied back late in the game and won. Siena enjoyed watching the game and running around the stadium. Following the late afternoon game was the July 4th fireworks show.
As nightfall arrived the fireworks show began. Siena was initially in awe of the very pretty fireworks but then the boom came. As some of the rockets exploded in the air with a bang, Siena became a little afraid. She was good with the bangs, but the booms were scary.
After the show we drove home and got to enjoy dozens of fireworks shows as we drove. Siena loved all of those since it was quiet in the car. Fireworks are now part of her vocabulary.
