Well, it has been a while since I last posted something to our blog. The rationale behind that is reasonably simple, Siena has become mobile. In a moment of craziness I decided to get down on the floor with Siena about a month ago to teach her how to crawl. Well she is a quick study and at just the right point in her development where she is quick to mimic what she sees.
So, she is now on the go. Which means unless she is asleep, you can no longer sit down and do anything. Siena is a busy baby so you cannot take your eyes off her for a second. Baby-proofing of the house has begun.
Of course she is also pulling herself up and standing constantly. She wants to walk everywhere if you will hold her hands and help her. She is starting to find her balance and she is learning the right way to fall. All this movement brings us to a very important question, when is she officially walking?
So far Siena has taken one or two steps on her own before she wipes out.
So, does this count as walking? How many steps make it official? What is the necessary distance she need to go on her own before it counts as walking? We need to get this information so we know when to report her efforts as officially walking. Whatever the distance, Siena may just run before she walks, but hey, she is our little girl, so that’s to be expected.
She’s mobile, and we are learning that nothing will ever be the same again.
