Siena And Waverly- The Snow Angels

Today Siena and her cousins Waverly had a fun- filled play day planned. Would we go to the Crayola Factory or the Botanical Garden Train Show? Either way we were planning for fun. But as we were getting ready for the day, Siena learned a new four letter word, SNOW! Yes, it started snowing and before long there was about 3 inches of snow on the ground. Just enough for some sleigh riding and snow man building.

She watched it from the window at first as the snow fell lightly. It looked like something that might be interesting. She said she wanted to catch a snow flake on her tongue. As the snow fell harder she grew more impatient with wanting to get outside and probably thought the whole tongue catching idea might be a little bit harder than planned.

Finally, after some lightly eaten lunch (because we were too excited to eat),we headed out into the snow. Uncle Frank and aunt Laurel's house has the perfect size hill for two little girls to sleigh ride on. A sleigh ride they did! As a matter of fact everyone got a ride or two in.

After some fun rides we headed down further on the property to the stream and the girls threw snow balls into the water together. Then while the parents were talking, the girls went off into an open space and started making snow angels. Waverly taught Siena how to do it and Siena was a a quick study.

We then headed back for some more sleigh riding before going in to warm up with a hot chocolate and some cookies. Siena had so much fun playing in the snow with Waverly, and we did too.
