After spending some time trying in vain to sell our home, we took it off the market for the holiday season and we moved back in. We brought our things back in from the garage and into their regular places. Amongst those things was our book shelf of cook books.
Always eager to help, Siena found the kids cook books and proceeded to remove them from the shelves as fast as we put them on the book case. In her Dora the Explorer cook book she found a strange purple cake that she, for some reason, became obsessed with. For days she talked about it and kept asking us to make it with her.
Finally, on a quick trip to the store I decided we should bake a cake. As fate would have it Pillsbury had a special batch of purple frosting out and so the biggest dilemma of trying to make purple frosting was quickly solved. It was meant to be. Our little baker was exceptionally excited and very proud of her accomplishment.
Actually, it kind of does look like the picture. Not bad for a quick family fun night project.
