Happy Mother's Day!

For the past 4 years I have been blessed to watch the most wonderful woman in the world grow and flourish in the biggest role of her life to-date; mom.   Lisa's love for her daughter and her family is endless and I love to watch her swell with pride when our little girl does something new and special.

Siena's love for her mommy makes everyday Mother's Day, but like all little girls, she was excited to celebrate all mommy does on her special day. In year's past buying gifts was the way Siena, Bella and I appreciated all mommy does for us everyday.  But this year, as Siena is growing older, she wanted to do more for mommy.  So off to Michael's craft store we went.  I had a plan, Siena had another one.  Yep, we went with Siena's.

Showing Mommy How I Made Her Vase
So for mommy, we made a special vase which Siena personally picked all the flowers for.  She likes to use her feet and hand prints to make things, so this project was her idea of fun.  She saw a mug on display and had to have it so we got one and she painted it for mommy.  I remember my grandmother having a ceramics studio in her basement and the giant kiln for baking the ceramics.  Nowadays you just put them in your oven.  I guess it is the same concept.

Signing My Name
All the gifts were very special for Siena (and for mommy), but Siena also decided to do something very special for mommy, she signed the card.  If you look closely, you will see how she signed the card on the bottom right corner.  She is just learning her letters and she is drawing things better than ever, but she can now write her name.  For mommy (and for daddy) this is so very special, our little girl continues to grow up and brings us two extra chances a year to celebrate as a family.
