Ah to be 3 again. When you are three you can make a major event out a a very little patch of leftover snow. We are doing a quick East Coast swing to keep our annual Christmas in New York tradition alive. Given the cold weather and turbulent landing in a driving rain storm, I am reminded once again that creating a Christmas tradition of hanging an ornament on a palm tree in Hawaii may have some merit as well. That said, we are back home and plan to be in the city tomorrow for a tour of touristy windows and a big glowing tree.
Lunch with Grandma and Aunt Debbie
Today we spent the day at Grandma Gail's house with grandpa Dan, aunt Debbie, cousin Mikey and aunt Elizabeth. We had a fun filled day of opening more presents, gorging ourselves with way too much food and playing in a tiny patch of snow. Yes, we live in southern California and we have adjusted quite nicely to the warmer climate, so 50 degrees is a deep freeze in our lives. Siena however, doesn't seem to mind the cold too much. So out to the yard we went to play with Maggie and of course Siena gravitated to the last little patch of snow there was. Here she learned to make snow balls and then to throw them to a dog that was only too happy to try to catch them.
After thawing out Siena spent cousin time watching movies and doing arts and crafts. A fun day for all, but no doubt her top memory of the day will be a little patch of snow. They are calling for some light snow on Saturday, should it snow I suspect Siena will be hard to contain.
