I Want To Ride

This past weekend, our little girl took another step in her skills development. We have had a little red tricycle our friends Penny and Craig had given to Siena for a while now. Every now and then she would sit on it or we would push her around on it. Sometimes we would try to show her how to keep her feet on the pedals and how they go around. Well I guess she was taking notes.

This past Saturday she got on the tricycle and put her feet on the pedals and started pushing without our help. She had some struggles at first but she seems to be getting the hang of it. Not sure how long it will be before she is off on her own without us completely, but if I know Siena it won’t be too long.

   

Now I guess that I wish I had been showing her how to steer it too. Ah, the challenges of teaching children new things, the greatest of which is remembering how and what you have to teach them. Siena is off to a good start here and this is another activity to add to her busy days.
