We all remember this famous show opening from our childhood. Some things never change and they really don't need to.
When I was a kid my parents took us to the circus every year and it was always a big event. There were some years where dad went big and got us down close to the floor and up close to the action. Other years we just went to Madison Square Garden and enjoyed the show. Long before I came to love hockey and the Rangers, I knew Madison Square Garden as the home of the circus. Imagine my surprise when I learned that the tigers really didn't live there.
Each year we have taken Siena to circus. Every year gets little more interesting as her understanding of what she is seeing continues to develop. A few months before the show comes to town we get the poster about the show in the mail. We hang it on the back of Siena's door and is becomes the next exciting adventure to look forward to.
This year's theme was Dragons, conveniently themed to tie in with her favorite princess story, Sleeping Beauty where the prince fights a dragon. Siena knows what a dragon is from her books so to see one in real life was rather exciting. The show was entertaining, they save the dragon until the end of the show, so everyone is held in suspense.

This year Siena loved the elephants and tigers. We visited both outside the show in the menagerie area before the show. When you are kid what is better than the circus? Not much.
