Yes, it is truly beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Porcelli household. The season is upon us once again, but this year we are off to a great start. Our tree is up and decorated. The house looks festive. The lights have been up outside the house for over a week now. Our Christmas cards are ordered and should be here in a day or so. Better yet, a lot of the Christmas shopping is already done. It is a Christmas miracle.
To get into the spirit of the season this weekend we went to see the Disney Candlelight Processional last night. As always it was a great performance. The choirs were fabulous and Tom Skerritt read the Christmas Story this year. Siena got a fun Holiday Greetings light with a light up snowman for the show and it helped her enjoy the wait.
We also made a visit to see Santa. Siena was less than enamored by entire experience, but we have our Santa picture for 2010! Have you ever walked backwards towards Santa and then when your child wasn’t really looking handed them off to Santa while the photographer snapped away frantically. Interesting approach (literally) to getting a picture with Santa.
