Our summer vacation has begun and like Don Quixote we are
off to travel around Spain. This year we
are vacationing with Grandma Gail (starring as Don Quixote) and Grandpa Dan
(rotating in the role of Sancho Panza with the rest of us). Our journey will include planes, trains,
buses and automobiles. We will see 4
cities and conquer hundreds of windmills.
Join us for the journey and read along as we travel. Sadly, for you the reader, I am not
Cervantes, but will do my best to share tales of our travels.

Day one was your basic start to vacation, 24 hours of travel
from San Diego to Newark to Madrid to Barcelona. We mustered up enough energy to have dinner
and unpack in our cozy rental. We are
staying in a small apartment in Barri Gotic.
A nice place for jumping off to the many destinations we have planned
over the next 13 days. Tapas, Sangria, then bed.
